Am I a good fit for you?

As I noted, I believe that the professional relationship is very important. Our first meeting will be to see if we believe we can work well together, for me to hear what brings you to my office, and for you to hear about my approach and style.

I completed my honours undergraduate degree in Psychology and Theatre Arts at Redeemer University College and my Masters of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University with a specialty in Individual, Couple and Group treatment. I earned my doctorate from Wilfrid Laurier University as well.

I am registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and the Canadian Association of Social Work Educators.

Over the past twelve years, I have worked in a variety of settings with children, adolescents and adults including psychiatric assessment, family counseling centers, youth shelters serving street involved and homeless youth, children’s mental health and child welfare. My experience has also included training in Narrative Therapy, Trauma, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I have been trained in the treatment of children who are or have been affected by sexual abuse. I have also received training in Reiki and the use of Tarot in counselling. In addition to my clinical work, I am a sessional faculty for the University of Windsor and Kings University College at Western University.
